Highlights of Japan

  • Buddha in Kamakura
    We went to Japan in April, traveling to Kyoto, Nara, Kamakura and Tokyo by train. Will's friend Jeff is stationned in Japan, so he showed us around. Everything about Japan was amazing - from the cuisine to the architecture to their spiritual traditions.

Zurich, Swiss countryside and Liechtenstein

  • Beautiful mountains
    We only had a couple of days in Switzerland - but we loved our time there. In May, all of the flowers were beginning to bloom and the grass was so green and lush. We ate fondue at a traditional restaurant, went paddleboating, did some market shopping (there were so many ethnic/hippie markets) and spent a day exploring the countryside.

Ciao amici

Greetings to the one or two readers of this blog J

I apologize for the lack of updates these last few months. Thanks to Italy’s first-rate phone company – Telecom Italia – we lost our Internet connection for several months.  Then, we could only get the connection with our older laptop, which doesn’t have enough memory to upload any more photos. We’ve also been busy with work, finishing our degrees and with traveling.

So I have some time now, and I thought I’d update you on our recent trips to Egypt, Romania, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and our local trips in Italy (including a fascinating visit to the hobbit land of Alberobello in southern Italy). Each day I’ll post another album and story until we’re up-to-date.

I’ve decided to offer more detail about our trips including hotel, tour and pricing information, in case any readers are looking for specific advise about different regions.
